Hello folks,
This page is dedicated to business-focused content, with regular updates on international relations , technological advancements, business aspects  current affairs and many more . If these topics interest you, make sure to subscribe and stay updated—you won’t want to miss what’s coming next.

Today we are talking about the most advanced and complex technology, but at the same time the most commonly used technology.
…Guess…
Yes, you are right. It is AI.
Just imagine how this technology is completely revolutionizing the modern era. We are completely dependent on AI tools for one thing or another. It is making things easier in many aspects of our lives.
As responsible citizens, we also need to take care of the negative effects of AI. When it gets proper platforms like social media, it can sometimes lead to serious consequences.
Nowadays, images and content look so real that people cannot distinguish between what is right and what is fake. Many scammers take this as an opportunity. They take advantage of loopholes and manipulate people.

If you ask how to stop this and what actions the government is taking to combat the problem, here is the detailed information.
Recently, the Centre brought in a stricter compliance regime for social media companies like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc., addressing them under the law regarding misuse of AI-generated campaigns and how social media platforms are used to reach a large number of people.
Earlier, the government had mandated that 10% of all AI-generated content should be watermarked in order to reduce misleading content. However, according to the new IT rules, this proposal was dropped, as it is very difficult for organizations to follow such rules on a large scale.

Now, the Centre has mandated that watermarking should be applied only to AI-generated content that looks extremely real and presents itself as a real incident, which may lead to chaos. It is not required for all AI-generated content. The watermark proposal was part of the earlier draft.
At the same time, the government is also tightening the timelines for taking down objectionable material from digital platforms.
Non-consensual or sexual deepfake images must be removed within 2 hours, whereas earlier it was 24 hours.
Unlawful content must be removed within 3 hours, earlier it was 36 hours.
Complaints related to defamation or similar cases must be resolved within 36 hours, earlier it was 72 hours.

The grievance resolution and final verdict timeline has also been reduced from 15 days to 7 days.
If platforms fail to follow these rules, they may face legal action under social media intermediary laws. Platforms are also expected to demonstrate that they have the capacity to handle such complaints efficiently.
Overall, it appears to be a balanced move. It helps in reducing the chaos created by AI deepfakes while still allowing the technology to grow
